As President of M3 Marketing Group, Yvon led an effort to create an integrated marketing campaign to support CBS and the American Film Institute’s show “100 Years . . . 100 Movies,” a television special that counted down the 100 greatest movies of the past century.
Yvon created and sold sponsorship packages to General Motors, Sony and Blockbuster to fund the special. Each sponsor received spots on the special, space in promotional print ads and a display within a traveling mall/mobile exhibition that visited 20 U.S. markets.
The traveling exhibitions brought to life the history of American film and featured rare memorabilia from the archives of studios, an animatronic Humphrey Bogart that welcomed visitors, a large HDTV theater that previewed clips from the movies, and a photo activity of consumers with an actual dinosaur created as a prop for use in the movie Jurassic Park.
The program was a huge success generating over 60,000 inquiries for sponsors. Different “100 Greatest…” themed shows continue to air to this day.
