THE MATCHBOX 50th ANNIVERSARY TOUR
 
 

While Group President at Aspen Marketing Services, Yvon was approached by Mattel and their promotion agency to launch an experiential campaign celebrating the Matchbox brand’s 50th Anniversary.

Yvon led a team that brought the brand to life via a mobile display, a Power Wheels test drive track, photo opportunities and a hands-on play center placed underneath a Matchbox branded dome.

The tour promoted the history of Matchbox, its car collections from the past 50-years, and specially commissioned anniversary merchandise for sale at Mattel’s major retailers. The tour visited over 100 retailers and generated “live” media coverage on NBC’s Today Show. The tour was responsible for driving incremental in-store displays and a 27% sales increase versus the prior year.
